Meet The Team
Kaohu Detwiler, Owner
Kaohu Detwiler is a 12-year U.S. Air Force combat veteran with 15 years of law enforcement experience across military, state, and federal agencies. He remains committed to serving others and giving back to the communities that shaped his career.
Kaohu also serves as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary, Civil Air Patrol, where he is the Director of Public Affairs for the Montana Wing and Senior Advisor for the Cadet Advisory Council. In appreciation of the sacrifices made by those who serve, special pricing is offered to Military Members, Veterans, First Responders, and Medical Professionals (verification required).
In September 2025, after 15 years in law enforcement, Kaohu made the decision to retire from the badge and pursue his lifelong passion for aviation. He relocated from Montana to Central Oregon to train as a full-time pilot. Shortly after arriving, he met a fellow student who did not have an aviation headset. Using his personal network, Kaohu raised the funds to purchase one—an experience that inspired the launch of the Kaohu Productions Aviation Headset Scholarship. This effort has grown rapidly, further supported by branded merchandise sales dedicated to funding future student pilots in need.
